KYOCERA WINS BEST BUSINESS AWARD

KYOCERA Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, is pleased to announce that KYOCERA Document Solutions UK (KDUK) has been named the winner of the Best Corporate Social Responsibility Category at the 2016 Best Business Awards (BBAs).

The BBAs judges comprise a large panel of over 20 independent experts who select winners according to strict criteria for each category and sector. KDUK came out on top in the category rewarding outstanding commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Commenting on the award to KDUK, the chairman of the judges said, “KDUK’s approach to preserving the environment and acting as a responsible corporate citizen is exemplary and goes beyond typical product design of printers and copiers. It was one of the first companies to partner with Responsible 100, an online platform that publishes and evaluates companies’ social, environmental and ethical policies in a transparent way.

“KDUK also goes out of its way to get involved in local and national environmental organisations and it is a great supporter of charities. It even has its own green partner programme. With the community and environment deeply entrenched in its core philosophy, KDUK is a clear winner.”

Upon receiving the Award, Nigel Allen, Marketing Director at KYOCERA Document Solutions UK said, “Kyocera’s commercial success is inextricably linked with its ethos of ‘doing the right thing’ as a human being. An integral element of the KYOCERA philosophy is the idea of acting as a responsible corporate citizen within society, so we’re thrilled for this to be officially recognised by the BBAs. This includes preserving the environment and striving for social improvement within the communities in which the corporation operates, building relationships of mutual trust with stakeholders and aiming for sustainable growth.”

The judges continued, “The BBAs are one of the UK’s highest profile awards and winning this accolade speaks volumes about the quality of Kyocera. Due to its high profile, the awards attract a wide range of entries from across all sectors from large international PLCs and public sector organisations to dynamic and innovative SMEs. The winners all have one thing in common – they are truly excellent at what they do and KYOCERA Document Solutions has proved this by winning a Best Business Award.”
