KYOCERA’S FAMILY IS COMPLETE WITH THE LATEST BLI HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AWARD
Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, celebrates the latest commendation from Buyers Laboratory (BLI). Kyocera has received this latest accolade for the FS-2100DN 40ppm Monochrome laser printer. It joins the FS-4100DN, FS-4200DN and FS-4300DN that have already received awards this year. Buyers Laboratory is the imaging industry’s leading independent authority and provider of competitive intelligence, testing and reviews.
This much sought-after award was bestowed after rigorous testing over two months and a 100,000 page durability test. It was the feature rich components that stood out with scores ranging from good to excellent across the board. A distinction was given for the intuitive interface of the KX 6 driver, which is now standard across the range.
Ecosys products are known for low energy and low waste and the FS-2100DN excelled in this area with ‘first page out from energy save mode faster than average’. Standard duplexing reduces paper wastage and toner save mode prolongs toner yield confirming that environmentally friendly products do not have to compromise on performance.
David Sweetnam, Head of EMEA Research and Lab Services at Buyers Laboratory stated, “An effective and solid performer, earning high scores across BLI’s rigorous testing, the Kyocera FS-2100DN deserves recognition for its intuitive interface, very good print output quality and excellent utility features. Administrators and IT staff will benefit from its feature-rich driver set which offers detailed feedback to workstations and one-to-many cloning, simplifying ease of network setup. As with its sister Ecosys models, it carries strong green credentials; most notably, its long-life consumables will reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and minimize environmental waste and user downtime.”
The Product Family
Kyocera is known for its tailored solutions through the entire document life-cycle for small to large business alike and has received many awards for the Ecosys products. BLI highlighted several features in the FS-2100DN which have previously been highlighted in this product family. Earlier in the year the FS-4100DN, FS-4200DN and FS-4300DN were recognised for print quality, and this continued with the FS-2100DN having above average sharpness and smooth fonts.
“We continue to focus on customer-driven innovative products and with our core strategy of using long-life and energy efficient components in all products, regardless of speed, Kyocera has something that can meet your needs,” said Reiko Owada, Senior Manager Product Management at Kyocera Document Solutions.
